G and T Blue:
Missionaries to Vietnam
G and T are a young couple marked by a sincere love for Christ and a growing burden to see the gospel carried to the nations. Their journey has been shaped by steady surrender; learning to trust the Lord’s leading through Scripture, community, and hands-on ministry experience. Through a nine-month internship in Hanoi, Vietnam, they invested in language learning, built meaningful relationships, and shared Scripture with those encountering the gospel for the first time. It was in this season that the Lord made their calling clearer, stirring in them a deep desire to return because Christ is worthy to be made known.
That calling is especially urgent in Vietnam, where spiritual need remains great. While estimates vary, only about 8–10% of the population identifies as Christian (including Roman Catholic), and evangelical believers make up roughly 1–2%. As a communist nation, Vietnam places restrictions on religious activity, making faithful gospel witness both challenging and costly. G and T are now preparing to return as long-term missionaries, raising support and building a team of partners who will join them through prayer, encouragement, and provision. Their hope is to see the gospel take root, lives transformed, and the church strengthened. They trust God to bring growth in a place where He is not yet widely known.

How We Partner
G and T have entered into our mentorship program, a key way we come alongside those preparing for long-term gospel work. While they are being sent by Team Expansion, our role is to serve as mentors—walking with them out of the perspective of over 20 years of ministry experience. We believe missionaries are not meant to go alone, but to be supported, strengthened, and shepherded both before they go and while they serve. In this season, we are helping G and T navigate the unique challenges of pre-field life; offering guidance in support raising, encouraging healthy spiritual rhythms, and helping prepare both their hearts and minds for the realities of cross-cultural ministry.
Our desire is to “show them the ropes” in a way that is both practical and pastoral. We aim to be a consistent source of encouragement and connection as they step into the context where they will serve, helping them think through team dynamics, cultural adjustment, and long-term faithfulness.
And as they arrive in-country, that partnership continues. We will walk alongside them to ensure they are not only effective in ministry, but also spiritually healthy and personally thriving. We know that a well-supported missionary is better equipped to endure and to faithfully proclaim the gospel over the long haul.
