Twenty years ago, Liz and I stepped out of our home culture and into new ones believing something very simple: Investing in one life matters.

At the time, there is no way we could have imagined where that conviction would lead. We couldn't have imagined:

• the university students who would become pastors, teachers, business leaders, church planters, and faithful mothers and fathers.

• helping to plant and pastor 2 healthy vibrant churches.

• the local leaders who would rise up to serve their communities and churches with wisdom and courage.

• the opportunities God would provide to translate biblical resources, strengthen churches, mentor missionaries, partner with educators, or help equip others for long-term gospel ministry.

And yet, looking back over these past 20 years, one thing remains the same: One life still matters.. and yet the field God has given us to steward is expanding.

For nearly two decades, our family's ministry, now lived out through Kingdom Development, has sought to invest directly in the next generation throughout Southeast Asia. As we've shared over the past several months, we believe God is inviting us to steward that same mission in broader and more intentional ways than ever before.

Here’s some of the opportunities God has given us to steward:

• Continuing our investment in university students through our partnership with World Team Dorm Ministries, with a vision of planting new student dorms/training centers in other parts of SE Asia.

• Launching our Missionary Mentorship Program, where we both recruit and/or walk alongside missionaries preparing for long-term service.

• Partnering with Asian Hope to help recruit and prepare Christian educators to come onto the field and invest in future generations in Cambodia.

And this is only the beginning…. Stay tuned, because there’s still much more to share.

This update is simply meant to catch you up with what twenty years of investing directly in people on the field has brought, and to thank you for walking beside us as we launch into a new and expansive season where God is opening doors for us to help equip, send, support, and sustain Christ-exalting investment in generations yet to come.

We're excited to share more in the months ahead about what this means for Kingdom Development, for our family, and for the opportunities God has entrusted to us here in Southeast Asia.

Please pray with us:

• For our dormitory students to grow in their faith, knowledge, and skills as future leaders in Cambodia.

• For the recruiting season of educators to come and serve in Cambodia.

• For our mentees (G and T Blue) who are growing past the 60% mark of what they need for monthly support. Pray for them to find more church partnerships so they can be on the field before Christmas.

• For our family as we transition to new seasons of life and ministry (Clara in college and getting married in December, Liz taking on a needed support role in our school, Josh entering 7th grade, Caleb entering 4th, and myself (Eric) organizing and coordinating the expansion of the ministry).
