Global Week of Prayer - Final: Part 3

Lord of The Harvest

Dear friends,

Today marks the final day of Kingdom Development’s Global Week of Prayer. But our prayers doesn't end here.

For nearly twenty years, my 9:38 alarm has reminded me to stop and obey Jesus’ command:

“Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”  Matthew 9:38

When we first began praying that prayer, there's no way we could have imagined the many ways we would get to see, first hand, how God would answer it.

When w came on the field, we had no idea what we were doing.  We simply were trying to be obedient to a call we felt God had given our family. And yet through our obedience we have had the privilege of seeing Matthew 9:38 answered in front of our eyes

  • Meta came to Christ, was discipled, and now invests in younger students.

  • God connected Layvin’s gifts and calling with education and leadership opportunities; she now leads a Christian school and trains teachers.

  • G and T are being prepared and connected so they can take the Gospel where it needs to go.

  • Bora is strengthening churches and placing biblical resources into pastors’ hands. Serey is entering overlooked communities and developing a place for sustained ministry.

  • And now, another ministry translated resource, is nearing completion.

Translation Resources

Kingdom Development is in the final editing stage of the Khmer translation of the Rose Guide to Discipleship. We hope to print approximately 2,000 copies and provide training that helps Cambodian pastors use the material in their own lives, churches, and communities.

The cool thing to see is how God is already working through it. The translators and editors have shared with us that preparing this resource deepened their understanding of Scripture and clarified their own purpose within God’s Kingdom. Before the first copy has even been printed, God is using it to strengthen and impact the people who are preparing it for others.

This is the larger story we've been telling this week.

God prepares people for His calling. He connects them with relationships, resources, and opportunities. We invest deeply in people and ministries for faithful, long-term service. Then those we invest in disciple, lead, equip, and invest in others.

Prepare. Connect. Invest. Multiply.

Globally, God sends workers across cultures. Locally, He sends believers into churches, schools, professions, families, and communities. The Gospel goes where it isn't, the next generation discovers and fulfills God’s calling, and one generation begins investing in another.

That's why we've been praying this week. And so we deeply thank you for praying with us and carrying these people, ministries, and opportunities before the Lord.

As Kingdom Development enters an expanding season, we are asking God to build a community around this vision. We need churches willing to connect, people willing to serve, partners willing to pray, and supporters willing to invest.

This expansion will require substantial resources. We're working hard to develop the relationships, systems, training, ministries, and partnerships needed to prepare future workers and strengthen those already serving in places where the Gospel needs to go. But we were never meant to do this alone.

Would you prayerfully consider your part?

SEPTEMBER 13th, 2026

How to partner with us:

  • Continuing to praying for the people and ministries introduced this week.

  • Share Kingdom Development with your church or missions leadership.

  • Consider whether God may be calling you or someone you know to serve.

  • Help provide the financial resources this expanding work will require.

Invest in the Next Generation. Multiply Kingdom Impact.

The formal week may be ending, but the need for workers remains. Tomorrow, when my alarm sounds again at 9:38, I will stop and pray. We invite you to join us in that prayer

To God be the glory,

Eric
