With all of my heart, we wish that each and every person who has prayed for us, who has supported us, who has encouraged us, could come to this beautiful country and meet the students that we have come to love so dearly. The aim of our organization is to develop world changing Christians leaders who will impact and invest in the future growth and development of Cambodia.
But the truth is, unless you are here in person, it is hard to picture what takes place and what is being developed.
With that in mind, I want to take a moment out of our day to share with you what the future of Cambodia will look like! I pray this small glimpse into the ministry will help encourage and challenge each of us to keep making disciples, to invest in future generations, and be the hands and feet of Christ right where He has us.
Future Leaders of Cambodia
The following are several of our students and the visions that they are working towards each day. They believe that their lives are for more than just personal gain, but to see the name of God honored and help the people of Cambodia find hope, justice, and a future.
Layvin

Layvin’s Vision: To become a community leader who through education helps others mentally and spiritually. (Specifically she wants to open her own school in her province. She wants to the school to be a central part of the community where during the week it is used for education and on the weekend it is used as a church.)
Bunchaey

Bunchaey’s Vision: To become a good and godly man who helps others. (Bunchaey is still in high school and doesn’t know what he wants to do after school, but he understands that developing his character should be his top priority at this moment in his life.)
Meetonah

Meetonah’s Vision: To help poor farmers, the elderly, and orphaned children physically and spiritually. (Meetonha’s desire is to become a chef in Cambodia. Create her own chain of restaurants and use the proceeds to provide physical and spiritual help for the people who need it the most.
Sreyhouy

Sreyhouy’s Vision: To bring healing and help, spiritually and physically, to adults and children in her province. (Sreyhoy has her mid-wife degree but is seeking higher education so that she can have her own clinic in the province and be able to use it to help woman and children who are at risk. Currently she is at a hospital to gain more experience.)
Niron

Niron’s Vision: To be a godly business man that mentors others in business and faith. (Niron is working towards his BA in Business. He has a dream to own his own construction supply company and use that as an opportunity to show Christ honoring business practices as well as mentor those who will work for him.)
Somnang

Somnang’s Vision: To be a godly lawyer who brings God’s justice and truth to Cambodia. (It is Somnang’s plan to eventually work for the government in the law sector. He wants to bring about long and lasting change in Cambodia that protects the poor and most vulnerable in Cambodia.)
Pisey

Pisey’s Vision: To be a godly midwife who provides education and improvement for women’s health during pregnancy. (Pisey wants to have her own clinic in her province so that woman can receive quality help and education during pregnancy and the first few years of child-rearing. She also wants to work with her local church to bring the good news to the children.)
Kimsrean

Kimsrean’s Vision: Through pharmacy she wants to bring physical and spiritual health to the community she is a part of. (Kimsrean loves to work in natural medicine. Unfortunately at this time, Cambodia doesn’t have the right tools to facilitate development in that field. Yet it remains her goal to own her own clinic that will one day use natural medicine as a treatment for people in Cambodia.)
Chamreoun

Chamreoun’s Vision: Chamreoun wants to help the poor to improve their physical and spiritual health. (Chamreoun is in school to become a doctor. He believes the way to best serve the poor in Cambodia is to become a doctor and be able to provide physical help to those who can’t afford it and at the same time sharing the Great Healer with his patients.)
Vat

Vat’s Vision: Vat wants to help the poor gain knowledge about God and life through being an educator. (Vat just started his first job as a teacher for an amazing ministry school that brings education to the “at risk” children of Phnom Penh. Vat wants to gain experience in this school and then one day open his own school in his province where he can share the love of God to his students and their parents.)
This Is Why We Are Here
This is not all of our students but it is enough to show just how powerful it is to invest deeply in a person. These young men and women will shape this nation for the good of it’s people and the glory of God.
Our part in their lives is, through the Word of God, help them identify their vision, make goals, and do whatever we can to help them reach it. We share life. And as we share life, we walk beside them in this journey!
Thank you, each and everyone of you who join us on this great adventure!
