G and T Blue: newly appointed missionaries to SE Asia

It’s often been our experience that ministry grows in ways we could never have planned; ways we only recognize once it becomes clear that God has already been at work ahead of us.
As we’ve prayed about the future of our ministry in Southeast Asia, the Lord has made something clear to us: what began as a call to go is now becoming a call to multiply, enabling others to go and accomplish His work, together. As Paul writes, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6).
It’s in that spirit that we want to introduce you to G and T.
Full names are withheld to protect G and T as they prepare to serve in a sensitive area in SE Asia.

A Shared Calling, A Growing Vision
G and T are a young couple who, in many ways, remind us of our own journey. They carry a genuine love for Christ and a growing burden for the nations that has been shaped not in a moment, but over time through quiet surrender and costly obedience.
Their story isn’t one of sudden clarity, but of steady faithfulness. The Lord has patiently used His Word, trusted relationships, and real ministry experience to lead them, to entrust their future to Him one step at a time.
The more time we’ve spent with them, the more evident it becomes that we have a shared heart. We’ve seen their humility, their teachability, and their love for people and in many ways, it feels familiar.
Because of that, we’re not only convinced that God is leading them to Southeast Asia, but that He’s calling us to walk closely with them: to invest in them, support them, and send them out with the same care and conviction that others once extended to us.
Why Mentorship Matters
Welcoming G and T as mentees is an important step forward for our ministry.
We believe missionaries are not meant to be sent alone. “Two are better than one… for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow” (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10). Mentorship allows for shared wisdom, strengthened endurance, and faithful perseverance over time.
In this season, especially as they prepare to go onto the field, we are walking closely with them: praying, offering counsel, and helping them prepare for long-term, cross-cultural ministry. This includes developing spiritual rhythms, navigating team life, raising support, and enduring hardship with faith.
This kind of multiplication reflects the pattern of Scripture: “What you have heard from me… entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).

A Heart for Southeast Asia
During a recent nine-month internship in Southeast Asia, G and T experienced both the beauty and the weight of the work. They studied language, built meaningful relationships, and discipled individuals who had never heard the gospel. It wasn’t an easy time, but it was deeply convicting for them… for even in those moments that were hard, they saw hope.
They had the great privilege of seeing hearts softened, Scripture begin to take root, and others begin to share the gospel. They returned with a clear conviction: not because ministry in another culture is easy and exciting, but rather, because Christ is worthy.
Since returning, they have been appointed as missionaries through their sending organization (Team Expansion) and are now raising support to return to the people God has placed on their hearts.
An Invitation to Pray
As they prepare to go, we invite you to pray with them:
For God’s provision as they raise support and aim to return this fall (Matthew 6:33)
For their language teacher, who is considering baptism (Acts 16:14)
For wisdom, endurance, and spiritual protection (James 1:5; Ephesians 6:18)
For unity and strength in their marriage (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
For open doors for the gospel (Colossians 4:3)
For perseverance and joy in this season (Galatians 6:9)
An Invitation to Meet Them

If you’d like to hear more of their story and the work God is preparing them for, we’d love for you to meet them in person, if you live near the Joplin, MO area.
Come hear their story, as they share the vision for the work ahead, and take time to encourage and pray for them and for what God will do.
There will also be a smaller, more informal gathering at a garage sale to help them raise funds to go: 1783 Betenbough Way, Webb City, MO

With Gratitude
When we first step foot in Cambodia, we really had no idea what we were doing. We only knew there was a need and we were willing to go. So many of you have been with us since that first moment. Your prayers and generosity have sustained and equipped this ministry… and what is truly remarkable is that it's now helping raise up and send others. Like the church in Philippi, you are “partners in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:5).
We love you, and thank you for that.
If you’d like to learn more about G and T and their future ministry, we encourage you to connect with us, check out our newly updated website and click on the mentorship page, or attend one of the gatherings above.
To God be the glory,
Eric
