This past weekend, we had the joy of hosting the second Third Culture Kid Youth Conference in Siem Reap in partnership with Grace Church. We welcomed 35 people and were grateful for a team from England who came alongside us to help lead and serve throughout the weekend.

The theme of the conference was drawn from Acts 2:38, with the goal of helping these students begin to understand and embrace their faith as their own. Not merely as something they have inherited as children of missionaries. We wanted to create space for them to wrestle honestly with what they believe and why they believe it, trusting the Lord to use His Word to bring clarity and conviction (Romans 10:17).
This was incredibly important for us, because these are our children... children of missionaries that didn't have a say in the life they have, or where they have grown up. Children raised in missionary families live in a unique and often complex tension. Their “home” culture is not the same as the country they live in, and the faith they practice at home often stands in contrast to the surrounding culture. It is both a strange and beautiful place to be. Yet, these students can often feel isolated or misunderstood. Scripture reminds us that we are not meant to walk alone, but to be built up together as one body (1 Corinthians 12:12–14).
Providing a space where these students can gather, share common life experiences, and think deeply about their faith helps them realize they are not alone. More importantly, it helps their faith mature into something personal and resilient (Colossians 2:6–7). This kind of discipleship strengthens not only the students, but also their families… helping them remain on the field with greater confidence, endurance, and longevity (Galatians 6:9).

Thank you for partnering with us to invest in the next generation and for walking with us as we seek to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us.
