Twice a year we have begun the practice of setting aside a week of prayer in order to make sure our hearts and plans are led by and surrendered to Christ. Of course prayer is the fuel of this ministry. It is a daily discipline (if not moment by moment practice) to talk to God in prayer. But during the week of prayer our focus is a little more directed, a little more intense, and intentionally.

We are excited to lay our hearts before God this week, with the expectation that He will help us have clarity as we move ahead with projects and make plans for the future of the ministry. We would love each of you to join us during this week of prayer - for when there are many people praying - we know we are safely in the hands of God.

3/7 - Sunday // Pray for Cambodia

(people, poverty, rich, government, justice)

Scripture of the day: Proverbs 2:1-8

  • Pray for the people to experience freedom from corruption, from religious strongholds, and from cultural oppression.

  • Pray for the people to be able to enjoy the land God has given them without internal and external forces trying to take advantage of them.

  • Pray for the poor to find hope in Jesus.

  • Pray for the rich to find hope in Jesus.

  • Pray for the government to rule justly and to bring peace, protection, and organization to the country.

3/8 – Monday // Pray for Cambodian Christians (lay and especially leaders)

Scripture of the day: Galatians 6:9, Matthew 20:26-28

  • Pray for the Christians of the nation to remain faithful and strong despite the communal and government oppression (which has been on the rise since the new director of religious affairs has taken over).

  • Pray for the Christians to be a light in what they say and do and that their lives would draw people to the Kingdom.

  • Pray for Christian leaders to gain knowledge and understanding.

  • Pray for Christian leaders to emerge and begin to stand on their own without dependence on foreign missions.

3/9 – Tuesday // Pray for Kingdom Development: Wisdom and Direction

Scripture of the day: James 1:5, 3:17, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 32:8

  • Pray for the leadership of KD to be humble, faithful, and sensitive to God’s leading.

  • Pray for the spouses and family of KD leadership to be protected from the enemy’s attacks.

  • Pray for the leadership to see and understand what God wants for the future of the ministry and what steps to take to develop it.

  • Pray for future ministry partners to have their hearts turned towards this type of ministry.

3/10 – Wednesday // Pray for Kingdom Development:

Favor with US and Cambodian government

Scripture of the day: Proverbs 21:1, 19:21, Psalm 90:17

  • Pray for the officer processing our non-profit application to communicate well and be favorable towards us.

  • Pray for relationships to develop among KD and Cambodian government officers.

  • Pray for relationships to develop among KD and US government workers.

  • Pray for our ministry to be wise and work without frustration as we build these relationships in order to better serve God and His Kingdom.

3/11 – Thursday // Pray for Kingdom Development:

Provision for Future Plans

Scripture of the day: Matthew 6:25-34 (emphasis on v33)

  • Pray that we would not worry about the future.

  • Pray that we would prepare as best we can but trust that if what we do is God’s plan and God’s ministry – He will provide in His time and His way.

  • Pray that in everything KD says and does the aim is to seek God’s Kingdom and God’s righteousness before anything else.

3/12 – Friday // Pray for the Next Generation (disciples making disciples)

Scripture of the day: Matthew 28:19-20, John 15:1-17

  • Pray for those we are mentoring and discipling – pray that they grow, learn, and apply this information in order to then go out and make disciples themselves.

  • Pray for the knowledge of God to be used not just gained.

  • Pray that the heart of mentorship and discipleship remains to lead the students towards a deep and passionate relationship with Christ.

  • Pray that we are able to help the students find sponsors for scholarships.

  • Pray that the students are able to become leaders in every field of study.
